We run a small boarding stable on a family farm located adjacent to the Little Gunpowder State Park in historic Joppa, Maryland. We have 300 acres of pasture, woods, and fields, and access to hundreds of miles of riding trails maintained by the State of Maryland.
We also grow our own hay - mostly orchard grass, with some timothy and alfalfa-mix. Although we keep enough to feed the horses we own or board, in most years we have additional hay, in both square and round bales, for sale to the owners of horses, cattle, or other livestock.
In addition, we are now home to Flying Plow Farm, a CSA (community supported agriculture) operation. The farmers, Tom and Sarah, also help with our day-to-day boarding operations.
Please explore this site to learn more about boarding with us, buying hay, or getting fresh vegetables all season through the CSA. If you need more information or have other questions, please give us a call or send us an email. Thanks for visiting!
